History

Sahba Company for Construction and Technology was established in 1991 and registered in Baghdad / Iraq . It was born to meet the needs of the reconstruction of Iraq after the widespread devastation caused by the 1991 Gulf war. It participated from the first day in renovating many State buildings and servicing HVAC systems. It soon developed into an established and very much sought after company in installing, servicing and maintaining Central Air conditioning systems in large buildings and private houses. The permanent staff grew very rapidly from 20 employees to about 200 engineers and technicians during the first two years supported by skilled and unskilled workers, whenever the project execution demanded that . In that period specialization expanded horizontally to cover wide range of civil and architectural engineering. This necessitated mastering advanced skills such as concrete injection, pile foundation and steel structure. Subsequently electromechanical work was implemented with the aim of control of the full cycle of construction projects as demanded by supporting the construction projects.
Starting in 1993 the company moved on to the supply and installation of systems of fire detections and fighting, in large workshops, industrial plants and hospitals.

Experienced engineers and technicians were eagerly wanting to join our group, because they thought that their expertise can be put to good use and that they will have the opportunity to train others and thus enjoy the satisfaction of implementing good projects.

The company continued in these activities until 1996 when it found fit to expand to more technological and specialized fields. It got involved in supplying equipment and material to meet the requirements of the construction projects. Moreover it participated in importing the requirements of Iraqi Ministries and State companies.

During 2001 the company commenced on a new line of supplying vehicles to Iraq coupled with the added specialization of after-sale services and maintenance. In this respect the company enjoyed the support of major international manufacturers and suppliers. Many engineers and technicians had the privilege of getting trained outside Iraq for this purpose under the auspices of Sahba Company.

After a decade of excellence, the board of directors decided that it is opportune to establish a sister company in the Gulf region ( SAHBA TECHNOLOGY JAFZCO ) to give us efficient logistic support and financial management.
